Morning of Birbery

This is it... today's the day! Today is the day that I and 14 other people basically skip pretty much all of school to go to the Baldwin Public Library in order to discuss the Birbery books this year and pick a winner (for more info on Birbery, please see my other post; Committee Day!) This year the books are as well pictured below.

Just Keep Swimming: A Finding Dory Movie Review

Yesterday, I saw "Finding Dory" and I must say it's better than "Finding Nemo". What a way to kick off Summer break! Dory goes on this quest of sorts to find her family. Her call to adventure is when she remembers something at the Sting Ray Migration. The movie goes on as Dory has flashbacks to when she was a kid with her parents and how she got separated from them. Along the way she meets her old pipe pal Destiny, a near-sighted Whale Shark, a mean Septopus named Hank, and a Baluga Whale named Bailey with a giant bump so he can't echolocate. Marlin and Nemo do this crazy thing with Sea Lions and a bird named Becky. That's all for now, but I'll write next time I write! Have a Good Summer! Cobracrane out!

BEST. DAY. EVER.

Today was a great day. I'll tell the worldwide web why the 2nd to last day of school is better than the last day. Today I went roller skating with my whole class! After that we went bowling. Me and my friends came up with Harry Potter characters for our class. I got Harry and ???? got Cho. After bowling, my dad drove me and my friends Mike M., Evan, and Quentin. I got to leave early (well, 10 minutes)! After school at karate, I got a new stripe on my yellow belt! That means I'm one step closer to Purple Belt. In all, I've had a great day and can't wait for school to get out tomorrow.

X-Men: Apocalypse Movie Review

I just saw X-men: Apocalypse and I must say despite the reviews it was amazing! The part I didn't like about it was at the end my dad, sister and I had to wait a long time for the thing that comes at the end of all Marvel movies. At some points, we didn't think there was going to be one.

The Weekend, In General

This was for the Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe.

This weekend was rather exciting because I got to go out of the country for the 2nd time ever! I went to Stratford, Canada to see "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", which was turned into a musical but strangely, Lucy, Susan, Peter, and Edmund were all played by adults! On Saturday, May 21, I saw my first ever Shakespeare play (one I'll never forget): Macbeth! Of course, since it was really, I mean REALLY creepy, we only saw the first half. Today is my Grandma's birthday. She's probably reading this post right now so I'm going to congratulate her on that. So that's the end of THIS weekend roundup but there will be more.

Weekend Events #1 of Many

Well, it's Sunday and school is tomorrow morning and afternoon so I'd like to sum up what happened this weekend. On Saturday so awesome stuff happened. The first (in chronological order) was that I got my yellow belt in Karate. Second was that I saw Captain America: Civil War. It was amazing although it wasn't what you'd call a Civil War. WiFi (Not Wireless Fidelity)

I don't know why, but I started thinking of my band called WiFi (it stands for When In France, Interact). So I think, "Hey, Kevyn, why don't you post some lyric videos of the real songs that you've played with WiFi over the years?" and that gives me an idea to post some lyric videos of the real songs that I've played with WiFi over the years. 3 Test Day (Again)

Today was extremely stressful. Today was the 1st day that my dad would be at the house since the divorce, since they started switching off on Sunday. Not only that, I had a math test, science quiz, and a social studies test! The quiz was something we could've done tomorrow, but I wanted to do it today. I started playing "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask". It's a game where you have to get these masks to stop the Skull Kid and the evil Majora's Mask from crashing the moon into the town. It's a  fun game and was originally an N64 game before the newer remake for the 3DS.

Jeopardy is a game show where you answer trivia questions against other people. If you go on the Jeopardy website, there are some cool things you can do:
You can do something called J6 where you pick 6 catagories to answer a question from. There's also a thing you can do on the "Be a Contestant" bar where you can answer questions from 30 different catagories. The link to get Jeopardy's website is right here. Alternate Dimensional Tales 1: King George III

What if King George III wasn't stubborn? Right now I'm changing the universes to the alternate one... (This may take a while)tick tock tick tock tick tock. Okay, the universes have been altered. Now traveling to 1766... (Time Machine Noises)... Well, here we are in 1766, British throne room.

Oh my goodness! There he is! He looks so friendly! I'm gonna talk to him!

"Your majesty, I can't seem to notice the colonists aren't taking to kindly to the new law."

"Pardon me, but who, may I ask, are you?"

"I'm from the future and an alternate universe."

"Okay. I don't know what that means, but are you sure the colonists don't like the new law?"

"Positive."

"Then I'll repeal it." Well, there you have it! King George repealed the Quartering Act and pretty much prevented the entire revolutionary war. I'm switching the dimensions back as we speak. Alright, the dimensions are back! I'm now switching the time machine to get back to the present (2050). (Time Machine Noises) Here we are in the present! Let's see if things changed (this could take a while...googling the Quartering act)... Well it says here that since King George repealed this law, the colonists loved him for doing this. In fact, some of the colonists thought about revolting but this stopped it. It even says that the Boston Tea Party was an actual tea party! I think this was a job well done. Next time on ALTERNATE DIMENSIONAL TALES, we'll discuss what would happen if Napoleon changed!

River Rouge

Our annual River Rouge trip is coming up. We do these twice a year and I'm not a big fan of them. I'm not a big fan because
a. I don't see the point, and
b. I keep falling in the river. I am serious, there is no time we went to the River Rouge that I have not fallen into the cold water. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. No one else ever falls in to the river.

The Colossus Rises Book Review

Here I'm going to talk about a book that I read in third grade but just finished rereading called The Colossus Rises by Peter Lerangis. It's a fantasy book that tells the story of Jack McKinley and his friends Aly, Cass, and Marco. These 4 have a gene named G7W in them which makes them have basically superpowers. Marco has super-strength, Aly is a genius with old movies and hacking, and Cass is so smart, he can talk backwards! Anyway, I'm looking forward to keep reading this series called 7 Wonders. If you haven't read it, try.

The Mikado

Yesterday and Friday were very important moments in my life. Friday was the first time I ever performed in front of 2,700 people AND the first full house I ever performed in front of. Yesterday ended my 2015-2016 opera season (for me this was La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini, Macbeth by Giuseppe Verdi, and The Mikado by W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan, more commonly known as Gilbert and Sullivan [Operas in chronological order]) with the MOTCC's production of The Mikado. Everyone in the MOTCC is great and I think we did our performance exceptionally well. If you want to audition, You're perfectly welcome to. It'll be nice to finally have someone from school in the chorus. By the way, our opera next year is "The Hobbit", based on the book by J.R.R. Tolkien. Good luck!

150th Post!!!

Finally! Today is my 150th post on this blog! I forgot to do 100th post but I'm now doing every hundred posts. I was going to blog about tech week for The Mikado, then I was going to write a game review on Yokai Watch, but I looked at my posts and figured out that this is the 150th! Usually my Hundredth post posts will be short, so this one will be too!
