Wonderful Winter Break part 3: Marvelous Mikado

2 days ago the cast list was posted for the opera the MOTCC does every year. This year we're doing the Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan. Gilbert and Sullivan have written many operettas like "The Yeomen of the Guard", "H.M.S. Pinafore", "The Pirates of Penzance", and "The Mikado". I got the understudy of the role of Ko-ko. He is one of the leads. My friend Eddie got the role of Ko-ko so if he's not at the performance I will be Ko-ko. This is the exact opposite of what happened 2 years ago for the Brundibar pre show. I got the main role of "The Little Boy" and Eddie got the understudy. Our 1st rehearsal is on Monday Jan 4; the same day we restart school. UGH!

Watch for Part 4: CHRISTMAS!!

Wonderful Winter Break Part 2: Feel the Force Awaken

On Monday the 21st of December, we saw the new Star Wars movie: STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. It was great! I even think Jude would like it! This is the biggest rivalry in our class: STAR WARS vs. STAR TREK: the Battle of Sci-Fi Movies. Jude is on the Star Trek side and I'm on the Star Wars side.

To be continued in part 3: Mikado Cast List

Wonderful Winter Break Part 1: Campus Martious

I've had an amazing break this winter and I can't wait to write about it in a 5 post super-post. On Friday I sang on the radio with some other people in the principal chorus of the MOTCC at the Campus Martious park at night. It was freezing cold outside! My friend Eddie said when we finished that he "couldn't feel his anything"! My friend Ben, J.T. and I talked about the game Dragonvale.

Radio Friday

Today if you've been following my posts, is the day that some other choristers of the MOTCC and I will be performing on 760 A.M. or WJR. We'll be singing Christmas carols and whoever's listening can sing along! We will also be performing live at Campus Marshus at 8:00, which is the same time the show starts.

Magic Flute

Yesterday I had an audition for the opera "The Magic Flute". I was auditioning for one of the 3 Spirits. They're 3 boys (although they've been played by girls) who come from time to time. Also, if I get the role, I get paid!!

Dragonvale Review

There's this game I like to play called Dragonvale. Dragonvale is a game where you hatch, breed, raise and evolve your dragons. Each dragon has a rarity. The rarities are Legendary, Gemstone, Epic, Rare and Common. Epic dragon and gemstone dragons are the hardest to breed out of all of them.

Radio Station Performance

The station we're performing on is WJR or 760 A.M. 🎸🎡

Radio Sing-A-Long

Yesterday I was at a rehearsal for a sing-a-long that me and some other members of the MOTCC Principal Chorus are in. We're singing Christmas songs like: Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, O Christmas Tree and The First Noel. Did I mention we will be live on the radio? Tune in to the station I put on my next post on Friday the 18th, which coincidentally is on the exact same day  that Star Wars: the Force Awakens comes out in theaters (so Jude, you will be able to try and listen). It will be at 8:00 in the night. We will be at Campus Marshus in Detroit.

What does T.H.I.N.K. Stand for?

The T in THINK stands for True. H stands for Helpful. I stands for Inspirational. N stands for Necessary and K stands for Kind.

My Favorite MOTCC Song - in a Book!

Today, as I was reading the book Stella by Starlight by Sharon M. Draper, when I got to chapter 8, I knew the song the characters were singing in their classroom. This book is set in 1932 so there's only 1 classroom, and every grade 1-11 (there wasn't any 12th grade). They sang the song "Go Where I Send Thee"; a song I remember from singing in the MOTCC last year in our concert, A Winter Fantasy. Here is a link to the lyrics for every song we did last year. The lyrics were a bit different in the book but it probably changed over time, since it's a folk song.

PPPPPPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Today we are having the best dinner food in the history of the world: PIZZA!! Pizza can be in 2 forms: Original (round) pizza or the kind I prefer: Deep Dish (square) Pizza. I will always capitalize Pizza in this post because it's a proper noun. The only Pizza I like is just plain cheese. I have never liked flavored chips like BBQ Lays or Cheetos (those are automatically flavored). So I guess it's natural for me to like Pizza with nothing except the cheese. I was super-hungry so I got to eat 4 pieces of Pizza. My dad sometimes likes to call Pizza "Za". I don't know why.

Fuzzy Mud/Birbery

Today I started a book called Fuzzy Mud by Louis Sachar. This book is part of the Birbery competition. I started Birbery on 12-1-2015. These are the 10 books of the Birbery this year:

The next thing is the tests. These are online using the website Moodle. First, you read the book. The test is a series of trivia questions based on the book.  One from Fuzzy Mud's quiz was:
"What does Tamaya do when Chad throws Marshall to the ground?" For Birbery, you must get an 80% or higher to pass the quiz but you get one retake. For Battle of the Books, you have to get a 60% or higher to pass. You must pass all 10 tests and read all 10 books and attend 2 book clubs to get a spot in the Quiz Bowl. The Quiz Bowl is a series of questions based off of he 10 books. Unlike Battle (short for Battle of the Books), there are no teams. You must read from 5 to 9 of the 10 to watch the Quiz Bowl. The top 5 in the Quiz Bowl get to be on the committee. The committee votes on the best of the 10 books. The book that gets the most votes is the Birbery winner. Last year, Mark of the Dragonfly won and this year it's being used as a Battle Book. There are 10 questions per quiz so that's 100 questions in all! Yesterday I took 3 tests and passed all of them! I got 100% Fuzzy Mud at home (Moodle tests can be taken anywhere.), and at school I got a 90% on Roller Girl and 100% on Mark of the Thief.

Writing Summary of the 1st Semester

I am most proud of the fact that I have been writing a lot this year. I only wrote a bit during the summer and this year I'm very close to 100 posts. I've only wrote on this blog in 2015 so I'm proud of that. My writing habit has definitely improved since 2014.

I am most proud of the fact that my stories have gotten way better than they did last year. I had a few yes'es last year and 1 or 2 not yet's . Now I have no not yet's and mostly starting to's.

I think that if more interesting things happen in my life, I can blog more. Like my most recent blog post was about how my sister got teased at school yesterday. There's always more ways to improve.

I think that my in-class writing has improved since last year but there is a lot of room to improve on. I think that using transitional phrases and conveying a clear plot are some things that I specifically need to improve on. In all, I can improve on many things in my in-class writing.

Mark of the Thief Book Review

Today I finished my birbery book, The Mark of the Thief by Jennifer A. Neilsen. The book is about a slave boy in Ancient Rome. It's a great book I think everyone will enjoy.

The Good and the Very Bad

The days of 11-21-2015 and 11-22-2015 are good and bad for many different reasons. The good news was both Michigan college football teams but the Buckeyes actually had a chance of winning. The bad news was that I got sick and had to go to the doctor. The good news coming out of that was the food.

Aladdin Understudies

Today was a half day. It ended at 11:30, but not for me and everybody that wasn't in the ensemble for Aladdin Jr. There were a few problems at rehearsal. One of our the guards, Timmy, wasn't there, but there are multiple guards. Another problem was that the person playing the Sultan wasn't here; but Storm, who plays Razoul, was there to fill in. That brought up another problem. Who would be Razoul? Storm's friend, Jake P., was there to fill in for him when the Sultan and Razoul were in the same scene. There was ONE MORE problem. Jake Flaherty, who plays Aladdin, wasn't there! I asked if I could fill in for Aladdin and the music director (the director wasn't there) said yes. When we got to "A Whole New World" though, there was another problem. The Aladdin part goes down an octave and I can't sing that low. So, Jake P. filled in for Jake F. when I couldn't, but I did Aladdin when we were at the finale.

Best Video Games Ever

For me, video games are very important to me. This video inspired me to write this post.

10. Mario Party 10
9. Mariokart 8
8. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
7. Wii Sports
6. Disney Infinity 2.0
5. Skylanders SWAP Force
4. LEGO Harry Potter
3. PokΓ©mon ORAS (Omega Ruby Alpha Sapphire)
2. Skylanders Trap Team

and the 2 video games tied for number 1 are:

Skylanders SuperChargers and Disney Infinity 3.0

Mondays for Me

I hate Mondays! They're always so hard to do my homework on because of the fact that MOTCC rehearsals are on Mondays. I always do basically everything on Tuesday mornings. But the worst part is that we have so many pieces to memorize in so little time. But every Monday I am reminded that I love doing this.

Recitals

Today I performed in my first recital ever! I was a little nervous. I had never sang by myself in front of SO many people. I sang the American Folk Song Shenandoah, which was the song I sang at my audition for the MOTCC this year. I wore my MOTCC uniform which has 1 pin on it to represent my 1 year in the MOTCC Principal Chorus. It was really fun and I just got clarification from my mom to participate in the next one which will be on May 15th, 2016.

Slugterra

A few days ago I wrote about Digimon. Now I'm going to write about another show called Slugterra. It's where people shoot awesome slugs at other people. These people are called "Slugslingers" Once the slugs reach 100 mph, they morph into the slugs that attack the other slugslingers.  When and if they reach 200 mph, they Megamorph. Sometimes, they can create a Fusion shot when 2 slugs are released at the time. There are slugslingers that use their blasters for evil, like Dr. Thaddeus Blakk. He and everyone in Blakk industries are obsessed with corrupting slugs. These corrupted slugs are called Ghouls. Ghouls are stronger than others because of their corruption. The best slugslinger family is the Shanes. The show is about Eli Shane and how he survived in Slugterra. His father died in an attack by Dr. Blakk. Or did he?

Stratego Strategy

There's a game my babysitter Mara introduced me and my sister to called Stratego. In the version at her house, there are mythical creatures (i.e. Mages, Dragons, Elves, Dwarves, Yeti/Lava Beast, Sorceress) as the playing pieces. In the version of Stratego at my house, it's like a modernized war. The characters have different rankings. The 10 is the strongest, while the 1 is the weakest but can kill the 10. In my version of the game, there is a piece that has no ranking. The piece is called the Infiltrator. When behind enemy lines, the Infiltrator can guess what a piece is from 2 squares away (your opponent's pieces aren't shown). If he gets it right, the piece is captured and moved off the board. If it is wrong, the Infiltrator stays on the board, but the opponent knows where it is. This is a story of an unpredictable win by me against my babysitter where I had my Infiltrator, and two 5s.

Last night, I was playing a game of Stratego against my babysitter Mara. The first big blow was taking my Spy, the only thing that can capture a 10 or Marshal. Then, she took my Marshal with HER Spy. Next up, she took my General (9). This kept going until I only had 3 movable pieces left. They were my Infiltrator, and 2 of my Lieutenants (5s). Mara was taking all of my pieces with her General. I started moving my Infiltrator towards the spot that I knew the flag was. The only problem was her Marshal was in the way. It started chasing the Infiltrator. When he got to the Bombs (no ranking, can't move, take everything but Miners a.k.a. 3's and the Infiltrator's guessing), I made sure to get them out of his way before the Marshal got to him and all hope was lost (the game ends when either someone gets the opponent's flag or when someone takes all the movable pieces of the other side). I ended up getting the flag, and Mara said she should've won. The same thing happened on Saturday, but Mara made an unpredictable win.

Digimon

I've completely forgot about it, but I used to watch a show called "Digimon". There are many versions of the show, but I've only seen 2. They are "Digimon: Digital Monsters" and "Digimon Fusion".  Here is the video to the Digimon Fusion theme song. Digimon and another show, Slugterra, are my 2 favorite shows EVER!!

The 3 Decks

Yesterday at Aladdin rehearsal, we played a game. I don't know what it's called. It's where you rush between the Poop Deck in the center, the Fiesta Deck on the left, and the Leado Deck on the right. There were other things the caller could call out. They were "Lower the Boom!" and "Captain on deck." When lower the boom was called, you had to drop to the floor. When Captain on Deck was called, you had to salute with your right hand. You couldn't move until the caller said "At ease." We played 2 rounds. I came in 3rd place in the 1st round and won in the 2nd.

Ecco Parpingol!

In the MOTCC we have a stuffed bear named Parpingol. He comes home with a different person each week. During the week you have him, you have to take a picture of him somewhere. Getting Parpingol is an honor. I never got Parpingol last year, but I got him last night.

The First Time I Went to a Funeral

Yesterday, there was a funeral for my cousin's Grandpa at their church. I never knew him that well, and I'm Jewish so most of the things I don't believe in. I'm not religious so I don't believe in God either. I just said the stuff that I thought was right. After the service, I found out that my Uncle's dad was a medic in the Military. They (a few members of the military) gave my cousin's Grandma a U.S. Flag and Saluted the body. They went outside and did a 21-Gun Salute. Overall, it was a little boring, but I had fun spending a little time with my cousins.

Aladdin Rehearsals (the 1st 1- there are many more to come)

Today was the first Aladdin rehearsal, and I've got to say, the play is awesome. When we were done reading the script with having the songs being sung by everybody that wants to, we did a little activity to get to know the stage directions and the directions to say your lines in. I was one of the 1st ones to do the activity. Me, Eden who's playing Iago, the person who's Jafar, and the person who plays the Sultan were called in this order, "This one, this one, this one, and this one.". Eden said immediately, "Oh! I'm a 'This one'!". A little later on in the activity (about a minute), I started hopping everywhere I went. I'm a comedian at heart, so I wanted to get some people to laugh. I didn't think I would get a lot of people to laugh. But, that's what I did. I really enjoyed today. The 1 thing I forgot is that we played a game called "Elephants, Angels, Palm Trees, Jell-O".

The 2 G's: Gmail and Goodreads

This morning, my sister Ava wanted to go on her Goodreads account. I tried to get her on using her email and what I thought to be her password. But it turned out that wasn't the right password. So, we sent an email to her from Goodreads. When we went on the site that she has her email on, kidsemail.org,  we tried logging in with her username and password. The problem for this site was her email expired. We had to make a new account for Ava. We had to have an email for the account so we just waited and waited because we thought our mom said we couldn't sign Ava up with Gmail. 10 minutes later, we asked her and she said she didn't mind. So we set her Gmail account up. We said she was 13 because that's how old you have to be. I think we (Ava and I) bonded over this. Just recently, when I gave her a hug, she didn't complain like she used to.

Small Moment Narrative #1

I was shivering and nervous about the audition for the little boy in the opera La Boheme. Sure, it was only 1 line, but to me, it was a lot.  I remembered my first La Boheme rehearsal. On 9/2/2015, I was at the MOT rehearsing the Opera La Boheme by Giacomo Puccini. I was really excited to perform in a famous opera. There was only 1 problem: I DIDN’T KNOW EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW!! There was one line that always confused me timing wise. That line was “Caldi Marroni, ninoli toroni.” That’s Italian for “Warm Chestnuts, oranges and candy.” We were only in act 2, but I knew I’d have fun no matter what. I thought what would happen if I got the part and if I didn’t. If I got the part, I might have my own solo bow, which is pretty cool. There might also be some people I didn’t even know in the audience saying I did good. Those thoughts helped calm me down. I sang the line the best I could. The line was: “Vo’la tromba il cavalin.” It means, “I want a trumpet and a horse” The context for the line is that me and the other kids are chasing the toy maker Parpignol and our mothers come and chase us down. So, if I get the part, I would say that I want a toy horse and toy trumpet. Before my friend Brooke’s audition, we just practiced. My audition for the role wasn’t as long as the other 3 chosen to audition. That was a good sign for me.
When I got the part, I realized that I tried my best and it paid off.
A few weeks later, I found out I would get “Slapped” and questioned my decision to do my best.
In the week before opening night, I found out I would get a solo bow.
Now that I won’t be performing in the opera anymore (our last performance was Saturday the 24th), I learned a valuable lesson. If you do your best, anything can happen.

Small Moment Narrative #2

A not so long time ago in a galaxy not so far away, there was a boy whose name was Kevyn. On 10.31.2015, Kevyn was on a few errands with his dad. His mom and sister were at Splash Village waterpark and Hotel with his sister’s friend Elina. They went to Lowe’s, which he detested, and Dick’s Sporting Goods, which was equally boring. When he protested about wanting to pick what they did, they went to the nearest Best Buy, which was about a walk away. But still, they took the car. When they got to the skylanders section, Kevyn saw that the new Skylanders game (Skylanders SuperChargers) was only $50.00. Usually it’s $75.00. I was sad because there was no dark edition of the game at all OR the dark edition on Wii U. But there was a regular edition on Wii U and it didn’t cost as much as it would in other places. The starter pack for Wii U came with Turbo Charge Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong’s vehicle the Barrel Blaster, and Super Shot Stealth Elf. In the Wii starter pack, it came with Hammer Slam Bowser, his vehicle the Clown Cruiser, and Super Shot Stealth Elf. He also bought the sea vehicle, the Sea Shadow. When he got to the checkout line, his dad asked him, “Hey, do you have buyers remorse?”
Nope. I’m okay dad” Kevyn replied. When they got home, Kevyn immediatly started playing. He couldn’t put the Wii U game pad down until his dad told him that his mom and sister were at his house. (This story was written in the 3rd person but it was in fact a personal narrative by Kevyn Roessler. I had a fun time playing this game and today I’m very close to beating it)

Books-A-Million

Today we went to a bookstore called Books-A-Million. Before we went in, I thought that it was all used books. It turns out I was wrong! There was the book I wanted to get, Dark Tide by Jennifer Donnelly, and the 8th Geronimo Stilton's Kingdom of Fantasy book, The Phoenix of Destiny. These books are great! I finished The Phoenix of Destiny today after getting it. I finished it in about an hour and 10 minutes. The book was 576 pages long! I'm reading Dark Tide right now, it's a book most people think a boy wouldn't read. It's a book series about mermaids. Well, those people are being stereotypical. I started reading the 1st book, Deep Blue, at the 1st book fair last year. I got hooked on the series. Once I started reading, I looked it up on Goodreads. I saw that Deep blue was the first book in a 4 book series, The WaterFire Saga. When the 2nd book came out, I probably got it the 2nd day it was out. This book is called Rouge Wave. I was really excited when Dark Tide came out on 10-13-2015. I'm really excited for the 4th and final book, Sea Spell.

Skylanders

There are many video game franchises that I really like, and I can only name a few! The big 3 are Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and PokΓ©mon. In that order. But the franchise I'm going to talk about today is Skylanders because I just got the new game, Skylanders SuperChargers yesterday. Each Skylanders game adds a new element to the game. In the first game, it's just a normal RPG game with action figures for the character you're playing as. In the 2nd game, Skylanders Giants, the element of giant skylanders that are taller, more powerful, and slower than the other skylanders. Each game, they don't just add new skylanders. They make skylanders from older games more powerful. The only skylander in all 5 games is Gill Grunt. In the 3rd game, Skylanders Swap Force, there are some skylanders that can have their tops and bottoms swapped with other skylanders of the Swap Force. In the 4th game, Skylanders Trap Team, the element of trapping the most powerful villains, the doom raiders, in crystal traps and having them fight for you. And finally, in Skylanders SuperChargers, the element of vehicles. There are Jets, Trucks, Submarines, Motorboats that can go underwater, cars and helicopters. These added elements make the games much more fun, even though the original was pretty good.

Aladdin Jr.

Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie of all time by a long shot. Princess and the Frog comes close, but not too close. At school, the play this year is Aladdin Jr. and I got a role I wasn't expecting. I got 1 of the guards, and after looking at the roles one more time, I saw that I was one of the 3 princes that are Jasmine's suitors. I am (the) Prince Formerly Known as the Artist. The other 2 were Prince Baba of Ganoush and Prince Dadu-Rahn-Rahn. So I knew I lucked out on the name.

Test Days

These 3 days (including today) are very unlucky for my family. Today my sister has a math quiz that's graded like a test (she told me). Yesterday I had a math unit test for Algebraic Expressions and Properties. And 2 days ago, I had an Science unit test for Energy and Heat Transfers. Good thing tomorrow is a half day. The bad thing is I have to wear my small Halloween costume.

Callbacks

Yesterday, I had audition callbacks for the play Aladdin Jr. We used the actual script! It was really cool. I read some of the lines for Aladdin, and Iago, the parrot. Overall, it was fun and I can't wait to see if I got a good part.

Aladdin Auditions

Yesterday was the auditions for the play Aladdin Jr. at school. I think I did really well. We had to sing Friend Like Me if we were boys and had a choice between Prince Ali and Friend Like Me. I sang Friend Like Me and read the Aladdin monologue. A monologue is a conversation with 1 person, if you didn't know. Anyway, I liked the audition and I think I got a speaking role.

Halloween

Yesterday, I got my Halloween costume, but I tried it on and it was WAY too small. But the cape fits and so do the teeth, but nothing else does. I am trying to be a Vampire Rabbit, so we got mouse ears and a bunny tail. The tail keeps falling off but the ears fit. I think that I will not actually wear the costume except the cape, the teeth, the tail, and the ears.

The Dentist (duhn-duhn-duhn!!!!)

Today I went to the dentist. I got 3 teeth pulled out and I have no more baby teeth. I feel really happy  because a: the dentists are really nice and let you get gum. I took 2 packs (both different flavors) of Wrigley's Extra gum. One was Polar Ice (which I think is Wintermint or Peppermint) and the other was Classic Bubble, b: there's a Wii in the waiting room and there's Mariokart Wii (I'm REALLY good at it) already in the Wii. So I got to play before I went to the TORTURE ROOM where the Dentists work inside YOUR MOUTH!!! UH-OH!! Anyway, I got a filling and a lot of other stuff. I think it took about AN HOUR.

The Adventures of Frosty Book 2: Tumble in the Tundra Chapter

Right when the four were about to go to sleep, there was a huge RIBBIT. Everything froze for a second (literally). Then, Snowy had breathed fire and freed himself. He freed everyone else. Then, without a moment's notice, he started attacking the other people. "Ahhh! Frosty! Help!" Cakeman and Pop screamed. But Frosty was deeply asleep. Ice Cream Men are known for their unwakableness. Cakeman and Pop tried to shake him awake, but it was no good. Finally, after about an hour, Frosty woke up and wished he had brought his magic broom. BUT, he had his magic hat (Ice Cream Men are also snowmen). He threw the hat over Snowy and he became calm.
"Now we still have 1 problem," Frosty said,
"The Freezer Frog."
"Oh yeah," Pop said
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Cakeman and Pop said at the same time. It ribbited again.

Goodreads Quizzes

Today my friend showed me (Not really but sort of) that you can put quizzes on Goodreads.com. I think I can create my own quiz. In fact, I will.

The Adventures of Frosty Book 2: Tumble in the Tundra Chapter 4

"Ah! Don't kill us!" Pop screamed at the top of his lungs. Cakeman and Pop started running as fast as they could. But Frosty just stayed there. "Frosty, you're gonna die!" said Pop
"No! I'm fine! He just pounced on me because there was a thorn in his paw!" Frosty explained. Frosty tried and tried but just couldn't get the thorn out. Pop joined in and STILL they couldn't get it out. Then Cakeman joined in (Cakeasaurs have legendary strength) and FINALLY they got the thorn out of his paw. "Can you talk? What happened to you?" Frosty asked.
"I can talk. It was Mystery Meat."
"MYSTERY MEAT?!?!?!?!?!?!" Frosty and Pop said at the same time.
"Who's Mystery Meat, Frosty?" Cakeman asked.
"Remember that bedtime story I once told you, "The Legend of Mystery Meat?"
"Yeah."
"Well, this is the Bad Guy from that legend."
"But I thought it was just a legend" Cakeman said,
"So did everyone else here, buddy. It was also said in a legend that nobody went near Snow Cone Sabertooths because they breathe fire. Look at Snowy over here. HEY! Can we call you Snowy?"
"Sure. And if you want me to come with you, I will." Snowy said.

"Hey, guys. Sun's getting pretty low. We should get to sleep." Pop told the rest of the Quartet. What Pop DIDN'T mention that he saw a shape like a Frog and a piece of Steak as he calmly went to bed. ALMOST.

La Boheme

Yesterday I was in the opening night of Puccini's La Boheme. It was really fun. I even had a solo part! After our part was over, I got to watch the rest of the show with my mom and dad. I really liked Act 3. After the show was over, my parents, my friends the Papadopolus', and I got dessert at this place called Angelina's. I tried Calamari for the first time. I REALLY liked it. Overall, last night was great. Even though I got to my house tired and thirsty.

The Adventures of Frosty Book 2: Tumble in the Tundra Chapter 3

The next day, the Terrific Trio sent out from the camp to find this Snow Cone Sabertooth. They walk in the snow for hours and hours until Cakeman said, "I think I saw paw tracks at the camp."
"Oh darn it. Cakeman, you're saying that we made camp in a Snow Cone Sabertooth's lair?"
"Yep."
"Oh come on!!!!!!" Frosty exclaimed. "Good thing this tundra's round. We've already gone 3/4 of the way around." So, they walked for an hour. When they got back, there were claw marks EVERYWHERE. They walked into the camp and immediately got pounced on.

Mornings

Last night we had a dress rehearsal for La Boheme until 10:00. It was really tiring and I'm putting this together as a last minute piece of writing. La Boheme opens on the 17th of October.

Ninja Warrior

There's this awesome show that I like called American Ninja Warrior. I want to be on it someday. But it didn't start in America. The original Ninja Warrior was in Japan. It was called Sasuke (ninja warrior in Japanese). I also saw a bit of the U.K.'s version of Ninja Warrior. All of them are obstacle courses.

Adventures of Frosty Book 2: Tumble in the Tundra Chapter 2

Frosty recovered just in time. The ice cream cake polar bear was inches away. Frosty ran as fast as he possibly can. Then he was suddenly dragged under the snow. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Help! Pop! Cakeman!"
"Frosty, we're out of the cave". Pop said
"Where are we?"
"Huh?"
"I said, WHERE THE FUDGECANO ARE WE?"
"Oh. We're in our new camp. If we're ever in trouble, we just come here. But geez, no need to swear." They were in a tent with a picture of an Ice Cream Cone on it. Outside there was a lit campfire with chocolate rods as the timber (everything is desserts in Dessertia)
"Sorry. I was just irritated that you couldn't hear me."
"Apology accepted. There was actually snow in my ears."
"By the way, thanks for saving me from the cake polar bear (short for ice cream cake polar bear). It almost got me."
"No problem. We should take a rest. Who knows what will happen tomorrow".

Spirit Animals 2

Usually at recess, I play a game based on the Spirit Animals book series with my friend Nolan. Not everybody on the #HJW team knows him. He's in 5th grade. We played with the talismans for a while (read the books to find out what those are) and played Fish Out of Water with his friends.

Staging La Boheme (the Bohemians)

Yesterday night, I was at the Michigan Opera Theatre (MOT) at our rehearsal for the opera La Boheme (the Bohemians). We were with every single adult that's in La Boheme (at least for act 2). We saw the Principal roles (Mimi, a Soprano, Rodolfo, a Tenor, Marcello, a Baritone, Colline, a Bass, and Schaunaurd [I don't know how to spell that], I think a Baritone), the vendors, the people walking around in the marketplace, the other kids,  and the rich people sitting in the CafΓ© Momus. I have a solo part and the scene that I sing it in is really fun. Our "mothers" chase us I think for trying to get toys from Parpignol, the toy seller. We have to hide from them. I hide under the table the principal roles are sitting at. Then my "mom" finds me and I sing (because everything in an opera is singing. There's NO talking in an opera) that I want a toy trumpet and a toy horse. I'm really excited because I get to perform on opening night.

Mom and Me

After school today, my mom and I had some alone time. So, we went to Oberweis. Oberweis is a dairy store that has Ice Cream, Milk, AND has birthday parties there. So, my mom and I went to Oberweis, ate our ice cream (I got chocolate caramel crunch and my mom got Chocolate Peanut Butter) and played Mouse Trap (they have board game there [Chess, and other games]). Then we had to go home. Today was a great day.

Divergent Book Review

Yesterday I finished the book Divergent and am now reading the second book in the Trilogy, Insurgent. Divergent has some sad parts at the end, but it was a great book nonetheless. Veronica Roth did a great job writing these books! I couldn't stop reading them! I would give Divergent 5 Stars. It was a great book!

Qudditch

Do you guys remember that form they gave us in September about playing Quidditch? I signed up for Quidditch and it's fun so far. This week we did stuff as Chasers. It was a little boring seeing as I already know the basics of the game. There was a Harry Potter summer camp I took a few years ago. There were 2 houses (Gryffindor and Slytherin) and not Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. We played with the Snitch being a Person running around in a Snitch costume. The brooms were pool noodles, the Quaffle was a big ball, the bludgers were 2 smaller balls. Overall, Qudditch was fun and I can't wait for next week.

NYC

Today, my parents went to New York city. They're there for some kind of meeting. Meanwhile, back in MI, we get the best Grandma ever to be with us for the next few days. She lives in Tennessee so we don't see her or our Grandpa very much. They're my Dad's parents.

Adventures of Frosty Book 2: Tumble in the Tundra CHAPTER 1

"Are we there yet, Dad?" Cakeman asked Frosty (he calls him dad because of the events of the first book). They were on the Root Beer Float Speedboat on their way to the Snow Cone Tundra to find a snow cone sabertooth for a pet. Pop was all but for the idea. He had never wanted to go to Hot Fudge Island either. Cakeman had asked Frosty this question an Octillion times already (that's about 8 times bigger than a million). Frosty replied with his Octillionth and 1st answer, "Please, Cakeman, just call me Frosty. We're not there yeeettttt---!We're there! I can't believe it! Pop, what do you think?"
"I think we're going to die" said Pop.
"Geez, Pop, you don't have to be so pessimistic. I'm a glass half full person, so I think we'll make it!" Frosty replied. They landed the speedboat on the shores of the tundra (Crazy right?) and started their trek.
It took hours and hours and hours but they finally made it to what they thought was an unguarded Snow Cone Sabertooth den. So, they went inside to find the egg. But Cakeman saw something white out of the corner of his eye. "Frosty? I think I saw an Ice Cream Cake Polar Bear." Cakeman told Frosty. Next second they knew, an Ice Cream Cake Polar Bear (probably the mother) was pouncing on them. She missed (luckily) and gave the Trio enough time to run out of the cave. "FROSTY!!" both Cakeman and Pop shouted. He ran so fast, he tripped on his own foot. The Ice Cream Cake Polar Bear was rearing up for another shot at Frosty.

10 Mario Challenge

I just completed my 2nd 10 Mario Challenge! My favorite levels was one that had a mushroom that had a question mark on it (both of these levels had it. I call it a Mystery Mushroom) that turned me into a goomba. The other one had Mystery Mushrooms that turned me into 4 things. They are:

1. Luigi
2.Yoshi
3. Toad
4. Princess Peach

In the first 10 Mario Challenge I played, the last level turned me into Bowser! Another one of my favorites was Coinucorpia (that's really what it's called). It shot coins at you the whole level (literally. Some of them came out of cannons).

Super Mario Maker Review

I got the Wii U only game Super Mario Maker. It is AWESOME! So far my rating would be 1,000,000,000,000 stars. That's 1 Trillion (I know a trillion stars is not an actual rating). I played the 10 Mario Challenge where you have 10 lives and have to complete 8 levels. I got to the 7th level before losing my 10th life πŸ˜΅πŸ‘ΎπŸ‘Ύ. This game has 4 graphic levels (kind of). First is the graphics from Super Mario Bros. for the NES, then there's Super Mario Bros. 3 graphics from the SNES Mario game, then you can create a level with the graphics of Super Mario World for SNES. The last graphic format is the graphics of the New Super Maio Bros. U for the Wii U.

Spirit Animals

There is this book series I've been reading for a while called Spirit Animals. Now there's a new series called Fall of the Beasts. I was is in the same situation as I was in a few months ago (see Wizard 101), so I restarted playing the computer game of the book series. The series is really good. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Fantasy books.

2nd Place Ain't Bad

Yesterday we lost the championship game to the bronco tigers. We got silver medals. I saw what the Tigers got for winning the game. They were fake gold trophies with a person holding a baseball bat. The game was 6 Cubs, 7 Tigers. They win in the 7th (last) inning with an RBI (runs batted in) single.

Championship Game

Today is the Championship Baseball Game for the Bloomfield Baseball League. It will be the Tigers (these aren't the professional teams for either) and my team, the Cubs. This is my first ever championship game since usually my team never even makes it into the playoffs. I'll tell you if we win or lose.

Wizard 101

A few weeks ago, I was looking for a video game to play. There was nothing good to play on my iPad, Wii U, and my 3DS XL is running super low on battery and I don't have the charger. So, I went on the computer and started to play Wizard 101, which I had installed a couple of years ago. It's really fun. If you like interacting with other players of a game, even battling them (for Clash of Clans fans), then this is a good game for you.

Adventures of Frosty Book 1: The Fudgy Journey FULL BOOK

The Adventures of Frosty Book 1

The Fudgy Journey

By Jaylen Calloway and Kevyn Roessler

Prologue

In a land where everything is a dessert, even the people, there was an ice cream cone man named Frosty. Frosty was a great adventurer. He had traveled many places, but this place will be the most dangerous. He was going to Hot Fudge Island. Hot fudge to ice cream people is like hot lava. On Hot Fudge Island there was a Fudgecano (fudge volcano). What adventures will Frosty have on Hot Fudge Island?

Chapter 1: The Journey

Frosty the ice cream man travelled to Hot Fudge Island on a Root Beer Float Speed Boat. "We’re almost at Hot Fudge Island" Frosty said. "Hot Fudge Island is a very dangerous place," Frosty’s sidekick Pop the Popsicle said, "Are you SURE you want to go there?”

“Positive.”

“ But there are Ice Creamasaurs, Ice Cream Lions and even more dangerous creatures".  "

I know. That's why I want to go there." said Frosty.

"What? That makes no sense". Said Pop,

"I have come here to get the best and biggest pet ever". Said Frosty. This reminded Frosty of how he met Pop.

Chapter 2: The Flashback

A few days ago, Frosty was in the Laffy Taffy Jungle. He was on 1 of his GRAND ADVENTURES for the perfect pet. He was wandering around when he came across a young, lonely popsicle. His name was Pop. Frosty thought he was the PERFECT PET until he found out that Pop wasn't a pet. He then asked Pop, "Will you join me on my JOURNEY FOR THE PERFECT PET?" And Pop the Popsicle said, "Sure.  But what about me? Oh, right. I'm not a pet." And so, that was the beginning of the partnership of Frosty the Ice Cream Man and his friend, Pop the Popsicle.

Chapter 3: The Arrival

Frosty  and Pop finally reached Hot Fudge Island on their root beer float speed boat. "We're here. We're really here" Frosty said. Pop asked Frosty,"Hey Frosty?" "Yeah?"

 "Quick question."

"Fire it at me."

"Why are we here for a very big and dangerous pet ?"

That's a great question. and I have an even better answer. We're here because dinosaurs are amazing. Duh".

"That is the absolute worst answer ever!" Said Pop.

Chapter 4: The Egg

Frosty and Pop have made to Hot Fudge Island and are looking for a ice cream dinosaur egg so they can raise it as their own. As they travel, they don't see a single egg. Until frosty looks up way in the sky and said, "Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!" Frosty shouted,

"What! What! What! What!"

"I hate it when you do that, but look up!! It's an Ice Cream Dino EGG!!" Pop looked up. There was an EGG that looked like a piece of cake. Pop said, "I think it's a Tricakeaops egg."

"FINALLY!! An Ice Cream Dino Egg!!!" Frosty exclaimed. When he tried to reach it by jumping, the egg floated away. Let's follow it." Frosty said. "What if it has a mother?"

"Don’t worry, Pop. I've done my homework. Ice Cream Dinosaurs don't have Mothers or Fathers. Stop being such a scaredy-pop." Frosty replied. Pop was very insulted (being a Scaredy-Pop is like a scaredy-cat), "I am not! And just to show I'm NOT a scaredy-pop, I'm going to get to the egg first!" Pop retorted.

Chapter 5: The Retrival

"Whoever gets to the speedboat first is the one who is right about you being a Scaredy-pop!" Frosty shouted as they raced towards the speedboat. Pop pushed Frosty into a Sprinkleasaurus, who roared in their faces. They see a little island. The egg is on that island! They rush to the island in the speedboat (still in range of the Fudgecano). Frosty grabbed the egg and he and Pop rushed back to the speedboat. As they got there, Frosty heard rumbling, "What now?" he said in frustration. Suddenly hot fudge spewed out of the Fudgecano. "Come on, Frosty, we need to go" Pop said. Frosty leapt and grabbed hold of the ship. "Come on, come on, come on!" Frosty screams. Suddenly, Frosty and Pop heard a cracking noise. Frosty asked, "What's that?". Suddenly the egg hatches. Frosty said, "It's glorious!". It was a BABY TRICAKEATOPS!!

Chapter 6: New Addition

"I can't believe that the egg hatched!" Frosty exclaimed. Frosty thought about what to name it. Finally, Frosty decided what to name it. Frosty said, "I think I'm going to call him Cakeman."

"I think it's a girl, Frosty."

"Okay then. Cakegirl." Pop stifled a laugh. "I was just kidding." Frosty thought, I hate you sometimes, Pop. Frosty continued to steer the speedboat. "But we have bigger problems, don't we, Pop?" Pop thought about it. "Oh, yeah. I forgot about the VOLCANO! Let's just take Cakeman to the Snow Cone Tundra!"

"Let's do this!” Frosty said, “When Cakeman gets old enough, I’ll add him to the team. Oh yeah, he’s already old enough. Cakeman, do you want to accompany us on my journey? Turns out dinosaurs aren’t the PERFECT pet. So, what do you say, Cakeman?” Cakeman nodded his head.
